Basic Google Slides- “Talk” (90 minutes)

Learn the basics of Google Slides create simple google slides presentations to help you teach remotely and face to face. (Prerequisite: basic knowledge google drive, how to access and create new documents.)
Intermediate Google Slides- “Sing” (90 minutes)

Learn more things you can do with Google Slides to supercharge and engage your students. (Prerequisite: basic knowledge of slides, how to access and create new slides.)
Basic-Moving into your Google Classroom (75 min)
Instructor: Seth Dimbert Monday, August 3, 4:00 p.m. EDT
Moving into a new classroom is always exciting... and a little nerve-wracking. This session, presented by a certified Google trainer, will cover the basics on how to set a Classroom for the first time. We will cover a tour of the facilities as well as where to post assignments, how to share resources, ways to personalize the experience, and strategies for setting your students up for success in the new, digital space.
Intermediate- Making Google Classroom Dance (90 min)

You're comfortable in Google Classroom... but are you ready for more? Let's talk about Gradebooks, Rubrics, and Originality Reports as well as add-ons, extensions, and third-party tools that will turn you into a Classroom Guru. We will cover ways to differentiate your assignments, conduct formative assessments, and leave a paper-based workflow behind.

Zoom is a business tool. Learn how to adjust the settings so that it is an effective teaching tool. Focus on security, scheduling and classroom management
Intermediate-Bitmoji Shmitmoji (60 minutes)

Are you ready to join the Bitmoji Craze? Learn to create and use Bitmoji’s in virtual classrooms. (Prerequisite: basic knowledge google drive, how to access and create new documents.)
Intermediate-Zooming is a Two Way Street (75 minutes)

Tips and Pedagogy. Practical tips to engage your students. Ideas for an interactive classroom while everyone is on mute.

When will I get a link to the class?
The link and instructions will be sent to you the day before the scheduled class.
Can I join more than one class?
Because of great demand, we only allow participants to register for one class and to waitlist for a second class.
Which grade is the training geared to?
Unless otherwise noted we have participants from all grade levels join the same class. The instructor gives lots of examples so that everyone can learn together.
Is there a fee to participate?
Training is complimentary for staff employed at CIJE member schools. If you are not employed at a CIJE member school there is a fee of $50.00 per class. This fee is non-refundable.
