Elementary School Science Laboratories

The Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education is fully cognizant of the great need for improvement in the areas of science, mathematics, and technology. In response to that need, the Center has installed modern, state of the art, science laboratories in eighteen elementary schools.

• The science laboratory provides a complete and integrated solution to the challenge faced by schools in their quest to achieve excellence in the area science.
• The lab environment is a multi-purpose laboratory which provides teachers and students with a new way to learn collaboratively, to improve reasoning skills, scientific skills and to increase the acquisition of scientific information.
• Inquiry based science lessons and activities are supplied to the schools by science specialists at the Education Center. Education standards and references are indexed by subject and topic areas.
• Sophisticated and accessible teacher training and professional development activities ensure that all educators are fully prepared to utilize and integrate the modules to achieve appropriate learning objectives.
