Bio
BS Agronomy & Horticulture New Mexico State, certified in Herbal Medicine, plant researcher for USDA. Yafa has been a CIJE mentor since 2015, preceded by over twenty years of science teaching in grades one through twelve. She heads the E2K Program and most recently developed the CIJE Middle School Extreme Engineering Challenge and is co-author of the CTMS textbooks. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, drawing, gardening and quilting.
