Alternate Assessments and the Tools to Create Them

As teachers continue to teach more digitally and even remotely, it is becoming more apparent that teachers need to strategize and evaluate methods of assessment. In this workshop, we will discuss the goals of assessments, as well as the types of assessments that teachers employ during live classes, and outside of the live classroom. We will focus on:

● Assessment in the information age

● Formal assessment vs informal assessment

● Creating assignments with assessment in mind

● Using digital/online tools for assessments
