Elementary School

CIJE provides exceptional technology programs for elementary schools in its network, including:

Individualized Computer-Assisted Instruction

CIJE partnered with Pearson Digital and the Waterford Institute to bring the benchmark SuccessMaker and Waterford programs to thousands of Jewish day school students. These interactive, individualized programs allow teachers and principals to track the progress of individual students and work with them based on their strengths and weaknesses as noted in the reports.

iTaLAM is re-imagining the world of Hebrew language and Jewish heritage education by transforming the well-established and highly successful TaL AM print program into an engaging, interactive, personalized, and adaptive digital experience. CIJE and its partners created this revolutionary, interactive computer program to assist teachers in promoting Hebrew language fluency beginning in the second grade.

Jewish Interactive

Ji Tap: Jewish Interactive collaborated with TinyTap to develop Ji Tap, a platform for Jewish teachers to create fun, interactive activities for their classes using rich Jewish resources.

Ji Calendar: Ji Calendar is an imaginative, and enriching series of modules to teach the Jewish calendar. The app is divided into a classroom tool and an addictive game for students. Students can design their own ‘space kid’ who will accompany them on their entire journey through the Jewish Calendar.

Making this app cross-curricular, are simulations of the astronomy involved with days, months, and years. Each simulation displays a window representing what you would see on earth, together with a working 3D model of the solar system, that students and teachers can manipulate to create certain circumstances. There are three modes for each simulation: PLAY – A free play mode that allows the user to manipulate the earth and moon freely to explain how days, months and years work. LEARN –A step-by-step mode that guides the learner from the general astronomical model down to the Jewish application, such as the moon being the basis for the Jewish months. QUESTS – Students have quests that are answered by manipulating the 3D solar system models.

At the heart of the product is a calendar too for the classroom. Teachers use this tool to discuss today, this month, and this year to demonstrate the overlay of the secular and Jewish calendars.

JI Studio: JI Studio is a revolutionary Judaic digital content creation tool that encourages children to let their imaginations run wild, use higher-order thinking skills, and create projects with tools combined with full access to the Tanach and selected Tefilot. JI Studio visually dazzles with rich collections of Jewish-themed stickers, story backgrounds, Hebrew letters, vowels and words, characters, dress-ups, photographs, coloring pages, and songs.
