Protective Face Shield
At CIJE are dedicated to help facilitate the widespread home creation of protective gear to safeguard our healthcare workers. Our organization has been contacted by healthcare facilities for help in filling the shortage of faceguards. CIJE has created avenues of collaboration between a community of Engineers who experimented with numerous approaches of creating face shields and have identified and perfected an easy way for the public to get involved without the need of expensive machinery.
Supplies Needed:
- Plastic Pipe Hanger (Amazon) (Home Depot) (Loews) 2.75 ft needed per shield
- Zip Ties (Amazon) (Home Depot) (Loews) 5 needed per shield 100 Shields
- Thick Hair Elastics - Large Hair Ties (can substitute rubberbands) (Amazon)
- Thick Clear Acetate Sheets - 8.5in x 11in (Amazon) (Staples)
Limited Tools needed: Scissor, Hole Puncher, Sharpie or similar marker
