3D Modeling with TinkerCAD PLC

design

Module: Introduction to CAD & TinkerCAD

Join this 3-part workshop to learn the basics of 3D Design through TinkerCAD, and come out with curricular ideas and projects for any class. Through the workshop, participants will learn:

  • How 3D design can be used in meaningful ways to enrich projects and curriculum in any content discipline
  • Learn the basics of 3D Design through TinkerCAD, how to teach TinkerCAD, and how to create designs for 3D printing
  • How to create projects and curriculum utilizing 3D Design in the classroom and address learning objectives across disciplines

Participants will leave the workshop with the practical knowledge to use and teach TinkerCAD and 3D designs, their own 3D Designed creation, and a concrete project or curricular idea to use in their classrooms.

The sessions will take place in March on the 9th,16th, and 23rd.

Aryeh Laufer is the Head of STEM at The Idea School, where he teaches engineering, design, robotics, computer science, and runs the makerspace.
